Vincera Foundation Tennis Clinic

The Vincera Foundation is delighted to have both Nick Bollettieri and Virginia Wade run this year’s tennis clinic at the Philadelphia Country Club in Gladwyne on June 10, 2019. The Tennis Clinic will commence with a luncheon talk given by both Nick and Virginia at noon, and be followed by the Tennis Clinic from 1:30-4:00pm. A cocktail reception will be held from 5:00-6:30 pm.

About the Pros

Virginia Wade

Virginia Wade OBE is a former British professional tennis player who won 3 Grand Slam singles championships and 4 Grand Slam doubles championships. She is the only British woman in history to have won titles at all four Grand Slam tournaments. She attained the rank of No. 2 in the World in singles and No. 1 in the World in doubles. Her crowning glory was winning Wimbledon on July 1, 1977, in front of Queen Elizabeth II during her Silver Jubilee.

Since retiring from tennis, Virginia has coached tennis, worked as a tennis commentator and game analyst for the BBC and enjoyed induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. She has also authored a book, “Courting Tennis.”

Nick Bollettieri

Nick Bollettieri pioneered the concept of the Tennis Boarding School and in so doing changed the way that the sport was taught at the elite level. As a result, Nick has helped develop many leading tennis players over the past decades, including many World No.1s: Andre Agassi, Jim Courier, Monica Seles, Mary Pierce, Venus and Serena Williams. Nick also coached Boris Becker for 2 years. In 2015 Nick was inducted into the tennis Hall of Fame.

Nick continues with teaching and public speaking engagements worldwide. He is the instruction editor of Tennis Magazine and has written an instructional tennis book, “Bollettieri’s Tennis Handbook,” as well as an autobiography, ‘My Aces, My Faults.”
